Jonathan Merril is a virtual reality pioneer and experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the e-learning industry. He is a strong business development professional skilled in entrepreneurship, strategic partnerships, web design, management, and mergers & acquisitions.

Jonathan has a passion for using technology to effect greater distribution of knowledge and insights, and has expertise in highly engaging media and all aspects of production - from on-line testing, certification, full-blown video production and simulation, as well as virtual reality. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles on VR and has a track record of scaling several education/VR/tech companies to success.

In addition to his work at Sensable Health, Jonathan is the Founder of AiPi, where he and his team of scientists, lawyers, and engineering experts help organizations to license, expand, and gain insight about innovations in various technologies such as artificial intelligence, automotive tech, audiovisual technology, robotics, semiconductors, chemicals, biotechnology, computer software, cybersecurity, drones/aeronautics, and more. He has also provided business strategic consultation to various organizations, helping them to pivot in strategy and achieve significant revenue gains.

Jonathan was the CEO of Astute Technology, a company that provides comprehensive, personalized and cost-effective solutions to the most pressing e-learning and e-business challenges. He has also held various leadership roles at Convergent AV, where he has provided consultative services to non-profit and for-profit organizations and has extensive experience in constructing educational sponsorship models, eCommerce, and the promotion and sale of educational products and services.

Jonathan holds a BA in Chemistry and Biology from Oberlin College and an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Washington Hospital Center and completed fellowship training in medical informatics at both Harvard University and The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
